由於妻子得到癌症過世，這張專輯充滿溫暖的生活回憶與故事，以及對於死亡的課題的直面叩問。 整張民謠專輯由 vocal 和木吉他構成，極為留白簡略，甚至他本人認為這張專輯是 "barely music"。錄音完全在家中臥房錄製，留下頗多環境聲響，有一種真實的生活感，整張專輯很大的重點在歌詞上面，對每一個椎心刺骨的生活細節反覆唱念著，"Death is real"，掏掏撿撿著小事情，害怕遺忘又無可奈何的憤怒。
